Argentina’s Primera A has just finished out half of its Torneo de la Independencia. The rest of the tournament will play out from February till May. Boca Juniors are table leaders and finished outscoring opponents 14-7 in their last four matches beating traditional argentine powerhouses Racing, San Lorenzo, and River Plate. As players head into a break, I want to discuss the potential of Boca Juniors’ Christian Pavon.

Let’s take a quick look at his five goals just to get an idea of some of his potential.

1st Goal: A lovely right footed gem to the upper left post.

2nd Goal: Excellent hustle and finish on a great assist from Tevez.

3rd Goal: Excellent timing.

4th Goal: Another well timed run and finish from a Tevez assist. Tevez leads the league with six assists.

5th Goal: Golazo!

It’s arguable the 20 year-old has plenty of opportunity to grow. He was linked to a PSG move at the start of the break but has confirmed that he will stay to play for Boca, look for Pavon to have a pivotal role in Schelotto’s team during the second half of the season a responsibility that may lead to growth for the forward.
